YES, but who doesnt want to have white,straight teeth? Lets be honest,a great smile is a huge plus in many circumstances. I dont have straight teeth and i rarely smile because of it. Americans do seem to put a bigger emphasis on it , but it can go too far and some people have TOO perfect teeth and it looks fake,like false teeth.

Well I had braces over 40 years ago (thank god)
And now spend bucks on keeping them fairly decent.
Didn't Euro dentists start doing the teeth thing in the 60s also ?
I just thought it was part of the modern world nuances .
Was it just Americans ?

yes, we do, and I think its cool...every-time I travel to europe I can't believe what I see....rotten teeth, stinky breath, yellow, green mildew teeth...eeechhhhhhhh...I spend alot on my teeth...
