A girl should start shaving whenever she starts feeling insecure about it! I think I started when I was 12.
Bonus Points:
I have sensitive skin so I use a Venus razor, barbosol shaving cream (the kind for men), and aveno body lotion. :-)

(try waxing sometime- hurts a lot but completely worth it- especially on your armpits and bikini line!)

I'm guessing your either a mom wanting what to tell your daughter or a daughter trying to find a way to convince her mom she is ready right? OK well if your the daughter then you may think its cool or what ever or that you seem old enough or that your the only girl who hasn't started doing it yet. but right now you may be wanting to but 6 months from now your going to wish you hadn't started doing it because you are going to be tired of having to always shave so i would wait till probably 8th or 9th grade to start doing it.

When I had my daughter I had these stupid "time-lines" worked out in my mind....for example, no boyfriend until age 16, etc. Well, the one for shaving was age 13, but the poor thing was looking awfully hairy by age 11, so I taught her then. I guess everyone's different.

I wasn't allowed to shave till I was 12 and it really sucked because I played girls basketball in 5th and 6th grade with hairy legs and everyone teased me.

I think whenever the hair starts etting really bad I started when I was 12 then my cousin had like man legs and she did when she was 10 it all depends if its darker and thiicker it sould probably happen before someone thats lighter and thinner you know

i started with an electric razor when I was 11 or 12. I had to change clothes for gym class and had very dark leg hair due to being greek/italian. boys were making fun of me.

i think the person should shave when they feel old in uff to do it.....i started at 13....i think you could do it by this time...i'm 14 turning to 15 soon, so it's about a year now.

as soon as you start shaving the hair thicken up. Go as long as you can. When it getting long enought you will know when you should start. Dont be in a hurry unless you feel self conscience about it. Your going to be doing it forever once you start and the grow seems faster once you start.
