I think it would be cool if there was a company that would take my design and plaster it on the cheque before print. Why can't this be done?

It actually can be done but the expense is quite high. You would not want to pay for those premiums for checks.
If it is a business account, your logo can be added for your checks where the name field usually goes. Not sure if this will help you

I think that's a dam good idea,, sounds like a money maker to me...
All they really have to do is use their ink to print the bank routing number and your account number,, but you have a great idea..

it can you can even have your own picture on
just maybe your check company doesn't do it.
but some do.
