unilateral - one party decides by itself
bilateral - two parties
trilateral - three parties
multilateral - many parties

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you had a unilateral talk wouldn't you be talking to yourself? Not that I haven't done that. heheh

Bi lateral, trilateral, quadrilateral.
5 party, six party, etc.

If you are unhappy, you claim it was "unilateral", if you like the result you claim it was "bilateral", numbers has nothing to do with it.
