I have been trying to talk my girlfriend into havin' anal sex, but she seems to be afraid of trying it. What can I do to make her NOT be afraid and to make her want to try it?

All I can say is good luck. My wife of 18 years would do anything, and I mean anything, before we married. She swallowed, she liked sex outside,(or pretended to) and she was open for anal,(at least she said she was.) She has never once swallowed nor had anal the entire time we have been married.

I hope you are asking because you are in a serious relationship and are trying to work on making your girlfriend feel more comfortable in bed so she will feel safe to try new things. If that's the case, then you pretty much have to wait until she's ready. The best you can do is alittle research about lube's, etc. that work well for anal sex. Nothing. You really need to look up some of the problems that comes from having anal sex. Did you know that she could actually die from having anal sex? Maybe she and you can read the pros and cons on anal sex. She might change her mind if she knew more about it.

There isnt a thing you can do to stop her from being afraid. The thing i dont get is you guy's fascination with the topic. It isnt as comfortable as porn movies lead us to believe. One thing i did to my boyfriend whenever he asked to go anal was to give it up first. If he wanted anal then at least he should allow me to do it to him also. But if it isnt good for you then it shouldnt be good for her either. Needless to say, the ones that said yes were compensated and i gave it up.
Dont push her to do something she doesnt want to do.

Okay, what if it was the other way around? what if you were the girl, and she was the guy, would you have anal sex, as you say with your mate? It is so easy for the guy to say let's do this or that, but they are only thinking about their pleasure not about respecting the wishes of their Girlfriends. I think that you should try askin a few guys to have anal sex with you (you as the receiver) and then report to her how it wasn't uncomfortable or downright disgusting at all. There is nothing you can say to make her try. If she wants to she will. There are many women that fear this. Don't believe what you see in porno's. Many women have a hang up with it.
