Every generation has it's own "global warming" or "global freezing" But wouldn't it be fair to say that "global warming" is beyond our remedial theories?
Here's a good example: We STILL can't figure out the answer to PI. I mean, mathmatical genious' have spent years working it out using computers ect. We've learned that some things are just beyond our mere human capabilities. Truthfully, some of you are going to not believe this, but WE DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING!!!!
So why is it so many are fooled into believing that we ACTUALLY can change the weather. I mean, it's almost as ridiculous as the Catholic church denying the Copernican theory. But today's "catholic dominance" would be left-wing democrats control over Hollywood and low iq'd television viewers. But the question is, isn't it possible that "global warming" is beyond our capability? Is it possible for any enviornmentalists reading this to play devil's advocate for 2 minutes and consider they are wrong.

THEY DISCOVERED THAT THE WHOLE IN THE WHOLE IN THE OZONE LAYER WAS THERE FOR MILLIONS OF YEARS!
Yeah, banning a bunch of crap within 10 years magically stopped the whole from getting bigger!!! What a bunch of saps!

It's hysteria, and purely politically driven. Global Warming is the new religion of the radical left, and they are banging the drum loud trying to deceive voters. The liberal media is all too eager to parrot this lunacy.
It's a tactic the left uses well. It's called "Demagoguery", and they have been doing it since the 60's.

Well the fact remains, there's a friggin hole in the ozone layer! It's actually there, its not just a fad or whatever. Luckily we managed to catch it and stop production of CFCs in time. Only problem is, the damn hole's going to be there until 2050. Well right now we can't do anything to change whats going to happen, since we've dumped so much CO2 into the atmosphere, even if we stopped all emissions completely, temperatures would still rise for the next few decades. So what you say is true, right now, I think its probably beyond our reach, so we've got to look to the future. Only problem is, no one's got the cahones to actually do something about it, until its staring us in the face.
Edit: What I meant by the "hole" is that the ozone layer was thinning, there was never a literal hole in the ozone. At one point the layer thickness was reduced by 70% over Antarctica. Ozone depletion has been there for a long time, but its a cycle which eventually replenishes it. CFCs basically destroy more than what can be restored.

They might be wrong. Of course, you also may be wrong. If the environmentalists are wrong, and we work to stop pollution and create sustainable energy sources, then at the end of it all we will have worked to stop pollution and created some sustainable energy sources. Not a negative outcome. However, if they are right, and we do nothing, then we've done nothing to avert disaster. Personally, I'd rather try and find out I didn't have to do it than not try and find out it was necessary.
Also, Global warming would be the "MODERN version of the hole in the ozone layer thing." The 1980's were around 20 years ago. And the hole in the ozone "thing" was an actual problem that has been reversed since the banning of CFC based products in much of the world.

if global warming is happening on Mars how can we possibly discount the idea that global warming is not man made? There is no life that we know of on Mars and there certainly is no life we would classify as “man” so how exactly is it getting warmer there? I know that the greenies would like to blame global warming on man but it takes a huge ego to think that man on this planet is affecting the temperature of another planet that is around 47 million miles away at its closest point. No, something else must be causing Mars to get warmer because there are no living beings using fossil fuels on that terrestrial body. If it is getting warmer in the absence of what we would call man then something else is causing it and if something besides man is causing it there then something besides man can be causing it here.
The fact is man is easy to blame for these problems but in reality there are many things in play, the most likely of which is cyclic weather patterns (probably influenced by solar activity). The inconvenient truth is that people stand to make a lot of money by playing Chicken Little. Gore and his energy offset company, the government in its increasingly restrictive taxes and fines to coerce compliance, and the many companies that will jump on the GW bandwagon in order to turn a profit selling paper plates recycled from toilet paper.
The Global Warming believers have accepted the idea as fact and the rest of us are called deniers. I want one of the enlightened to explain away that which has been described above. I want Al Gore to explain to me how man is causing Global warming on Mars and if he is not then I want him to admit that it is possible (and likely) that man is not causing it here.

We still have the hole (the whole wear sunscreen campaign, spray on tan things came out of it), however we introduced reforms to stop it as much as we could.
Reforms need to come this time too. The technologies are here, available, and cheap. Why not take advantage of a hybrid car so you can pay less at the pump? Why not buy household products that are green to avoid skin and lung irritants?
Edit: So what University or major research facility do you work on... You sound like an expert...

Fooled into thinking man can change the weather ?
Boy you are several cards short in your deck .
Best for you not to worry about this actually ,
As it is like the bullet coming , and you can't stop it.
Old saying - " Ignorance is bliss "
In your case I strongly recommend you totally embrace your bliss ,
Since your elevator does not reach the top floor .
Xtra : But you can party ! A bunch of your other flat earth friends are here to swap flat earth proverbs !
You can all party in your bliss together !

Uh, the hole in the ozone layer, however long its been there, was getting much BIGGER in our time - that's the point, which, like so many others, you completely miss.
Comparing global warming theory to an irrational number is a stupid analogy.
