There's no documentation of any interview comments from The Beatles (together and/or after the split-up) on their view of the Velvet Underground. It's possible some Beatles members may have met Lou Reed and VU, but I don't recall hearing about that.

Of the four "Lads from Liverpool", I'd have to say John Lennon would probably connect better with Reed than Paul, Ringo or George; again....we'll probably never know about this.

If any of them had an interest in The Velvet Underground, it probably would have been John. He was particularly fond of anything that was raw and eclectic, not to mention anything New York and the Velvets were both. Just my opinion of course.
