Only one person has ever called me self-centered. That was my mother, and I was a teenager.

I believe people get mixed up with the terms self-centered and self-sufficient. My mother did.

I was self-reliant from a very early age and liked to do things my own way. My mother wanted me to depend on her for everything, while my father stressed the importance of self-reliance. I am most like him, and got my chops busted a lot by mom because of it.

By the way, guess whom mom calls when she needs something done without delay or argument? Right. The self-sufficient child.

I'm not a fan of being the center of attention.....there are times I can be self-centered, but for the most part I'm pretty humble

I am very self-centered. That is why I can donate 4 hours to the food bank every month, because I run my schedule

well, depends... I AM always the life of the party- not because I wanna be, but I just always am... I am always the loudest person in a room, Dr's office, restaurant, I am always out into something, always getting into trouble.. and I live my life in total bliss.

I'm not self-centered; for that matter, I'm pretty much off center.

I don't think so. My ex thought I was because I wouldn't quit my third shift job to spend my nights with him. He seemed to forget that I have three kids to spend time with and support.
