It's really not that harmful, it's less harmful then tobacco, and alcohol, and its not addictive. It also brings in so much crime, I think that it's ridculous that it's illegal, it seems that if you made it so companies could grow it pack it and sell it like cigerates or beer, and make laws on it saying you cant smoke and drive, you can be intoxicated in public, then it would cut down on crime, and death rates.

lol, wildraft1 you crack me up. First of all I never stated my position on the matter, maybe I think they should all be legal, maybe i think they should all be illegal, but it seems to me, in my own humble opinion, that it would actually help the economy, and reduce crime in this country. As far as global warming is concerned, what does that have to do w/ drugs, and alcohol?

the reason why i think its illegal is becuz it has acute side effects like lightheadedness which can impair ur judgment. also, while it might not be addictive to some people, it can be addictive nevertheless which means they will become dependent on it..and most of those people will have a higher tolerance to their "high" and will want to feel the high more and will eventually turn to something else. i mean i guess u can see both side of the story to all of these 3 things. yes u congress can pass laws on weed saying u cant smoke weed and drive just like u cant drink and drive. but thats already made by default. so u can say illegalizing weed is more of a thing to control the use more than anything else.

as for tobacco...it has gone through some changes but has not been unlegalized because it bring MAJOR income to the economy and its too late to unlegalized it because its addictiveness it stronger than weed which would bring the uprising of "drug dealing tobacco" and would end up exactly where weed it as now.

another point about the weed is that if weed is legalized and commercialized, the industry will add countless amounts of "other" chemicals to it and who knows what will come of that...

this seems like a good topic to write an essay of....

as for u polaris im glad "TRUTH" is doing what they are doing. i dont like seeing or smelling people smoke. their breathes smell like its rottening. so if u smoke, pls, at least have mints in handy.

i hear some countries have legalized it like canada so its just a mtter of time b4 we get it legalized too...in some places like germany i think (i might be wrong) there are special booths to smoke tobacco and weed is legal to smoke anywhere...lol cool

It's on the way and probably the real reason the government went after the tobacco industry. They had to show that tobacco technically was a drug. It's use is still legal but ironing out all the fine details are important in this before they can legalize it. Like where you can smoke and limiting the sales.
Actually it might not be a good idea for smokers because of the outrageous taxes that will be imposed on it.

I think maybe they just make more money off of it when its illegal because not only are they ending up with the money the dealers are making, but also getting more money by putting them in jail, and all the court costs. They wont be able to get money from locking people up over it if it was legal because less people would be getting in trouble while using it. does that make sense.. kinda confused me.. lol. I mean really if someone gets caught using, or selling it they get locked up with at least a $10,000 bond, and end up having to pay a good portion of that on top of court costs, etc, and the government gets to take whatever money they find on that person when they get busted of course they keep it illegal. They probibly would have alcohol, and ciggs illegal too if they thought it wouldnt give them away.. lol. I dont know, but I do believe that they may make more money with it being illegal, and that could be why they keep it illegal.

Some tabacco smoking prune-faced old fart decided that pot is a drug used by "African Americans" and "Mexicans" and causes them to go crazy and rape white women. Just like cocaine.

In fact, I think all drugs should be made legal again. The whole war on drugs thing is just a huge waste of time, money and manpower. Take all the tax money you are saving, and add on to that the tax money you would collect from taxing drugs, and wow! What a difference.

I doubt any more people would abuse drugs than there are already abusing them. They'd just be doing it out in the open and without the extra-added expense.

Just wait, Stone. The anti-smoking Nazi's are trying their Gestapo damnedest to make tobacco illegal. Then they'll go after booze. Pretty soon we'll need permission from these morons to walk down the friggin' street!

Cannabis?

Hey, of course it's illegal to eat people!

But, seriously... it's possibly only a matter of time since some countries like the Netherlands have already legalized it.
