Take your rock, and look up these rocks/minerals to compare it to pictures on the web:
Periodotite
Serpentinite
Olivine
Chlorite

This could be any number of rocks or minerals. Since you mention that it is glittery, it might be a schist (metamorphic rock). It could also be a green mica known as fushite.
