If participants in such are age 18 or older and have a choice in what they do, they have a legal right to do it, wether you're a fan of it or not. Comes down to free will, if it involves children, lock up people producing it and throw away the key.

Under the first amendment to the Constitution, it is legal for adults to make, participate in, distribute, purchase, and view pornographic material at their own discretion.

There should be some restrictions, primarily to prevent minors from unauthorized access to material which may be potentially damaging to them (I am not sure what child psychologists feel about the effect of pornography on children and would rather error on the side of caution here).

If a consenting adult wants to view or participate in any form of pornography, it is their right. The fact that porn is a multi-billion dollar business leaves little doubt that millions of adult men and women enjoy it. It should be kept out of the hands of children at all costs, but this responsibility rests solely in the hands of the parents, not the government.

If it doesn't involve a child, I'm fine. Most people enjoy pornography because they get to experience and see things that they otherwise would be too inhibited to try in reality. Plus, it is easier to get turned on in the privacy of your own home. I wonder what percentage of viewers have a significant other? There's a thought.

Religion is no longer the opiate of the masses.

Porn victimizes anyone and everyone who participates in it. From the abused girl, who may very well even be a kidnap victim, to the viewer. It's the absolute worst side of the internet and the information age. But how else are the exploiters going to keep the masses sedated, when the masses now claim to be atheist?

Americans LOVE porn. We don't talk about it in public, but we spend a HUGE pile of money on it.

It always surprised my how so called "free market" Conservatives want to use laws to ban porn. If people really had a distaste for it they would not buy it and it would eventually go away, right? That's the the power of the free market, right?
