what did the U.K do in the Cold war?

The relationship of the United Kingdom with the US was pretty much the way it is now. The US and UK are the two leading powers of the NATO group, A lot of European countries are also allies, but normally don't play as active a role. The UK and the US shared a lot of intelligence between them, we both had spies inside the USSR.

What did they do? I am sure that a lot of that information will become available in about 50 years when they remove the classified stamp from the folder. Until then your geuss is as good as any other.

British Armed Forces were commited from 1945 to conflicts in Greece, Palestine, India, Berlin. Malaya, Korea, Cyprus, Suez, Kenya, Belize, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Aden, Northern Ireland, Falklands Islands and a whol host of places in between.

In addition Britain's independent Nuclear deterent contributed to the continuing peace in Western Europe for over fifty years,

It was mainly a US/ USSR conflict but the UK was our allies and shared intell with us and such.
