I thought I heard an announcer on WGN say that he had World Series rings from BOTH teams. Did I hear right? If so, who is it, please. Thanx!

It's "Hawk" Harrelson Played with the Red Sox and is in Boston as we speak celebrating the 40 yr anniversary of the '67 team. Since he is the offical TV announcer and has been for many years he is considered a member of the organization and received one in "05.

It's not unusual for teams to give rings to their broadcasters as well. I know Darrin Jackson has a ring from the '93 Jays, and he's been a Chisox broadcaster for 8 years, but that doesn't answer your question.

I know the Sox played the Twins this weekend, and they also have broadcasters with more than one ring, and from more than one team, including Jack Morris. Sometimes a broadcaster from one team will visit the other booth for an inning, so perhaps you heard that.

You specifically mentioned WGN, and I've looked at the lists of broadcasters for both Chicago teams, as well as of all of their opponents so far this season.

I can't find anyone who might fit that bill. I'm not saying that you don't believe that's what you heard, but perhaps it wasn't quite what was said. People mishear things or misintrepret what they've heard all the time.
