I think they should just do away with them. Some people are very bothered when they get a thumbs down. Like it is a personal attack. I could care less. If I was a vindictive person, I would just go and give everyone a thumbs down and say "there HA!"...but what does that do?
I personally don;t even see why there are there. I have given a best answer to someone with a few thumbs down because I liked their answer.

Yeah, if they worked like stars, people would probably rarely give thumbs down. When its anonymous you can give thumbs down to everyone and it won't matter....If it showed, though, you could get the person back for giving you thumbs down lol.

I don't think you can see who gave you thumbs downs, I would like to. I bet my sister gave me a lot of them just to me a pain in my butt!

exactly, you can see who gives and who takes. if that was the case with the thumbs, people would be running around Y/A looking for revenge.

I don't think it's a good idea because there will be plenty of people flaming the people who gave them a thumbs down even if they deserved it.

I would still do it, but I don't do that many. I only give thumbs down to people who are deliberatly rude or insulting. I wouldn't care if they knew it was me.
