They arent cursed...they are just owned by a complete moron with an even bigger moron as the GM. If the people in charge have no understanding of how to build a winner (or even care for that matter) then what the fans get is a hopeless situation. Bottom line is the ownership is the worst in all of professional sports..... consider this fact that the EXPANSION Texans have won more games in their 5 years of existance than the Lions have won in their last 6 seasons under the Millen lunacy and an owner that isnt bothered by that fact and nobody can reasonably argue they arent the worst franchise in all sports....period! Unless the Fords sell the team we are looking at hopelessness for a long time...they are making money and have no intention of building a winner, good football players make too much money!

Actually, there is the "curse of bobby layne" Layne got injured in 57 and the lions traded him thinking his career was over. He left detroit and said that they wouldnt win for 50 years. By the way, lions had the 4th most passing yards last season, Mike furrey had the most receptions and Roy Williams had the 3rd most recieving yards in the nfl. so there isn't a complete lack of Offense

The Lion's are cursed with instigation of good players and their GM. That dumb ***, Matt Mill en. Hes better off sitting on his *** all day. I don't remember the Lions ever having a winning season. I was once a Lions fan, but all the losing games made me crazy. They have good players like Bl, but the dumb asses just trade them or they want to leave.

viphockey4 pretty much summed it up. The lions did with Barry Sanders what the Timberwolves are doing with Kevin Garnett. Have one of the best players in their respective league, and still cant manage to win.
Kevin McHale and Matt Millen should get together and eat some ill prepared Puffer fish!

Preseason is incomprehensible. communities are merely searching for the excellent gamers to hold into the customary season and sorting out out new performs. it fairly is a thank you to spice up your morale however, there is not any doubt approximately that. as a manner to have confidence in victory, you may adventure victory, in spite of ways or whilst it occurred. it fairly is wonderful to get the W, however the substantial element approximately Preseason is calling who's the excellent in wonderful condition for the Detroit Lions. because of the fact of this the backups play for many individuals of the sport.

get rid of the gm and hire good coaches and they will live again.
when wayne fontes was coach the team had its ups and downs but was fun to watch and did win games
when they fired him and bobby ross became coach he tried to change things which led to barry sanders retiring.
since that time the lions have lost the heart to win.

Could be worse...you could be an Arizona fan. oh wait, arizona doesn't have any fans.
Bad owner, bad general manager, bad coaching staffs, consistently bad drafts, bad free agent pick-ups. Bad luck plays into it, but if you load 5 chambers, chances are you are going to get shot.

Yes, Barry Sanders cursed them right before he retired. He said they didn't know what they were doing and he was right.
