Looks or talent?

Question

When it comes to choosing your favorite actors and actresses, is it all about talent, or does good looks matter too?
Please explain how you feel about it.

Talent in my book means, good character acting , anunciation, dictation, how you carry yourself, and projection. Good looks gets your attention but talent holds it. My favorite actors are, jack nicholson, jim carey, george clooney, sandra bullock, selma hayek. This are just a sampling.

I usually go by talent. My favorite actress is Julia Roberts cause she is very good at acting. If I go by looks then it's Angelina Jolie. My favorite actor is Johnny Depp because what ever role he plays you believe he is that character and not Johnny Depp. If everyone could act like that then well you get the picture. I know some say he is hot but I don't think if I go by looks on a actor then it would have to be George Clooney.

Mostly talent.... even if you have the best looking person acting, it's still going to be a crappy movie if they can't act.... if you want to go look at pictures of them, do it for free on the internet or something..... in some cases though looks do matter, like if you read a book and you have a particular imagge in your head of what an actor or actress should look like, them sometimes its hard to liek the movie if they dont look like what you imagined.... but mostly I have to say talent becasue without a good acting, it is hard to enjoy a movie.

For me its both, because i like watch a good actor or actresses with talent and beautiful looks! Both are very important!

For me its both, I watch movies when I think the male actor is a good actor, and the looks make them even more appealing :)

This is a very hard question to answer, only because they go for both. They need someone to full the part, who looks and acts like the character, but you definitely have to be able to act!

It is mainly talent for me. Meryl Streep is no looker, but damn she's got it. Jack Nicholson as well. As far as pretty faces, you have Mark Walberg and Charlize Theron. Great looks and both very talented.
