This happens in situations when people ask questions that may stem from a lack of understanding or they may simply be trying to cause trouble from a mean spirit.
I once met a homeless woman who asked if I had change, of which I said no ... ... and she said, "but you do" and smiled at me rather maliciously
I did have change but that money was mine and I had no intentions of giving it to her.
People do things like that from time to time. Some questions are simply unwarranted, like the scenario above.
What do you say when you have to reject someone who is asking something he is not entitled to?
This happens a lot for rich men who may want to deny someone asking for money, to a sexy gal who wants to turn down a guy who does not have any qualities she is looking for. But the trait mark is the same: People who have high assets (in terms of looks, youth, money, knowledge etc) and those who want what they have ie those that do not possess those assets.

Just say "no". You don't need to explain your life to anybody.

So a homeless person asked for some money, you refused, and the homeless person is mean?

Perhaps tomorrow you can tell us the story of how those ungrateful blacks forced whites to enslave them.

Either say no--or ignore them completely. No explaination is necessary.
