Saturn 3 Westworld Krull (1983) Logan's Run Silent Running Soylent Green This Island Earth Forbidden Planet Fantastic Voyage The Valley of Gwangi 20 Million Miles to Earth 2001: A Space Odyssey The Time Machine (1960) Robinson Crusoe on Mars Village of the Damned (1960) The Andromeda Strain (1971) The War of the Worlds (1953) Jason and the Argonauts (1963) The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959) Five Million Years to Earth aka Quatermass and the Pit I'd suggest watching the rest of the Apes series. It's one of the rare times when a story arc plays out nicely, even when the studio kept cutting the budget in spite of their success. I'm certain you'll like "Beneath the Planet of the Apes".

A Star is Born
THe Lion In Winter
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
and I know it may sound a little flaky but Elvis made a couple of great movies Charo and Jailhouse Rock (believe it or not)
also try The African Queen
The Maltese Falcon
also a thriller entitled Ten Little Indians (where they actually stop the film and give the viewer a chance to solve the mystery- hey I thought it was cool)
