I'd go for the smooth, velvety voice of Kathleen Turner - like she was in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Dulcet, with just a hint of petulance when emotional.

Don LaFontaine (the guy who does all the movie trailers)..just imagine randomly going into conversation with that scratchy "in a world where ____". I think that would be frickin sweet
