You have to first understand anti-Semitism and the long history of changing excuses people have come up with to "justify" their hatred of Jews.

Israel is a great evil on the Palestinian lands. The Balfour Declaration was never approved by the Palestinians and it was forced down their throats by the British. The Jews got along well with the Palestinians before the Jews inhabited Arab lands and kicked out the Palestinians. Whenever the Palestinians protest, the Jews attack them with their Black Hawk helicoptors and expand their zionist settlements. The Jews, such as their attack on Lebanon this last Spring, use aggression to justify the expansion of their zionist empire. The Palestinians have been poor, have had their land stolen, and have been ignored by the international community for the past 60 years.

I don't think people are opposed to Israel as much as that people are tired of the problems that Israel has cause for us Americans especially when Israel doesn't understand the need for peaceful resolution to the situation over there. it is getting tiring just like this war we are fighting in Iraq .

They've been very aggressive about claiming land. We even had to chase her back to her borders after she tried the same thing during the Suez Canal crisis (people forget that the U.S. did that, as we are easier to think of as "Israel's pawn" if you hate Israel).
It is also true that any property that is owned by someone of Islam, even if it is a bunch of nomads that no one wants in their own country (as every Islamic country has refused Palestinian refuges), MUST, by Islamic law, stay in Islamic hands.
Israel has what was once Islamic lands. They must kill them all. They are hated because they have successfully kept the land against all attempts.
There was a compromise with Nazi Germany for the aid and alliance of Islam with the Germans.
Jewish people died for it, not just for German prejudice.

the truth is, years ago israel agreed to split its country in an even half and give half of it to palestine, to appease the arabs. the palestinians refused because they WANTED IT ALL OR NOTHING... so the conflict continues becuase palestine wont compromise

Well it was formed from lands that already had people living there. They were kind of upset to be summarily kicked out of there homes and moved to tents. The american indians felt the same way and so we basically wiped them out or put them on reservations. The american indians didnt have any friends anywhere nearby so there were no real repercussions. However the Palastinians moving out in a huge group caused hardship with their neighbors as well as pangs of sympathy.

The arrogant notion that they are Gods chosen people and are owners of Palestine by divine right.
The fact that they have ignored, time and again, multiple UN resolutions that have ruled against them.
The fact that they have stolen homes and land from Palestinians, and feel justified in doing so.
