I cannot speak for every guy only for myself. First off actions are dictated by how you feel or think. If someone tells you how to act and you follow then, you would be nothing more than an actress.
What your really asking is for men to generalize what makes them feel loves, needed, wanted, so on and so on. Which, is going to vary greatly from one man to another.
Personally I like to receive affection outside the bedroom as well. Why is that? It does nothing but tell me that my wife is thinking of me even when we are not interacting.
There are so many things a person will do when they love someone. It's very hard to come up with guidelines for such a thing.
Everyone has the ability to feel another person's energy and emotion even if they are not speaking. You can say "I love you" a million times. You can make love 4 times daily or do many little things to try and convince someone you love them. No matter what if your not projecting the energy that makes them feel you love them then, they will never feel loved.

We aren't that much different. The little things. Light touch to the arms and shoulders when you come up behind us, a kiss when you walk through the room, laying your head on our lap while watching tv, and any other common thing requiring touch. Saying I love you for no special reason. Our needs aren't any different we just don't expect it as much because we were raised that those little needs aren't manly to ask for. We do really appreciate it more than you know.

Simple complements work really well. Like " wow, baby you look so handsome in that shirt, it might not be staying on the whole night". A light touch. Were really simple creatures. It does'nt take much.

I show genuine interest in my man. For example, when he tells me that his neck has been bothering him, or his muscles hurt, I make an effort to rub his neck, or muscles. And just the same, when I say something along the same lines to me, he reciprocates.
