Leo rising interferes with my sun sign?

I am just interested I've been on a investigation, and I've found out a site that said this peculiar information:

''Sign compatibility in the ancient tradition of astrology is not so simple. Unless your birth chart has Leo rising the Sun is not your chart ruler. The planet that rules your ascendant or rising sign is always the most significant. If in addition the Sun in your birth chart is in a cadent house, does not strongly aspect any planet and your chart has no Leo emphasis, then the Sun in your chart is not a significant factor.''

I have sun and moon on gemini and leo rising.
Does that means that my rising leo, that his planet (sun since its his ruler) will change my sun sign(gem)?

Does that makes me more Lioness? lol :P

With Leo rising the Sun is your chart ruler and therefore it is significant in your chart. I disagree that if a chart has no Leo emphasis then the Sun in a chart is not a significant factor. Yes everything has to be weighed up but the Sun is always an important consideration.

To answer your question, the Sun ruler of Leo rising will not change your Sun Sign which will always be Gemini. That’s the Sign in which it is placed.

The sign Leo has a strong influence as your rising sign, making you generous, outgoing, demonstrative. Drama comes naturally to you. You will enjoy being at the centre of attention and you like to be noticed. There is a lot of warmth and passion to your nature.

Just how outgoing and magnanimous a Leo rising person is, can be modified by the Sun’s placement in sign and house. So if the Sun was in Capricorn for instance, they will not come across as being as outgoing as a Sun in Leo or Aries.

No matter what the Sun’s placement, with Leo rising you will be generally positive and optimistic and big-hearted!
