Yes, Chinese women can only have one child. If they discover that the child is a girl they sometimes try and dispose of it or get an abortion. They are usually forced to get an abortion if they get pregnant a second time as well. The lucky babies that aren't wanted are adopted. It's dreadful.
Edit: In answer to the people who claim that the penalty is monetary, I have a chinese friend who was forced to abort her own baby, herself, she wasn't even given a decent hospital abortion, and was in pains for months after.

yes Chinese women are only allowed to have 1 baby
and true, they would kill the girls
(that why l hate to be a chinese)
but l like girl and l want to kill those people who killed their own daughter

Its not that they are not allowed, its that they have to pay higher taxes if they have more than 1 child. It is to keep the population down. Im sick of hearing people saying that they kill the 2nd child or give the girls away to have sons. Thats ridiculous, though boys are preferred no children are killed.

Yes. They prefer sons. Some even kill the child if it's a girl. Who could blame them? Their population is 5 times that of the U.S.

Yes this is true. And they best hope for a boy. I have also heard that if they get pregnant again they are either forced to abort or they leave the country to have it somewhere else to save its life

One child allowed if parents live in city, two kids in countryside, and three in special underprivileged locales. Penalty is monetary.

My blonde sister-in-law heard that one out of every 4 babies born in the world is Chinese. She already has three kids. So she decided against trying to have another.
