Am I A Good Poet - I'm Only 14?

These are the two poems I wrote, I am a 14 year old student and just wanted everyones true and honest opinion. Thanks

1 TO MANY


He is gone , his soul still here but his body is no longer , why , because 1 to many people

1 to many people told him he was ugly
1 to many people told him no one cared
1 to many people told him he was stupid

If maybe just 1 person told him he was smart

We would have 1 more person still alive and well


AND THE OTHER ONE IS UNDER HERE

What is Love

The thing that makes us cry , or the thing we all want

Is it really all its cracked up to be

Cuz the same person that once gave me it

Also gave me the worst day of my life.

She said it was over , and I coulda swore it just began .

to be honest, they're not very good. They're not very good because they're just like any other poem I've ever read. Try to be more original. To write poetry, it doesn't have to be deep or about anything important, just make sure they are honest. I think poetry and art is all about honesty really. Also, you are only 14, and with more experience in life you'll have more to write about, so just keep trying!

If writing your poetry makes you feel good it is a good thing. Since you had to ask if it is good you know you aren't at that level yet, but every writer as everyone who goes after their goals starts with baby steps. Keep it up.

Ummmmmm are you having suicidal thoughts, nothing poetic about death, sometimes you even shi'ite yourself...People are jerks, trust me it catches up to them, i'v seen it...
