I think its just for church but my friend doesn't agree. What do you think?

Sorry, i should have been more specific.
i meant why do people dress up fancy or nice. Not like a costume or anything.

If you mean that people wear new clothes, it is because they are celebrating the end of winter. Before people bathed regularly, they often wore the same clothes all winter and the clothes were pretty ripe by the time Easter came. The people were ready to celebrate the warm weather by wearing new clothes.

Who dresses up for easter except for kids and anybody who gets hired as the easter bunny for a celebration????

Does your friend know where else they go? You gotta look good at Easter because Jesus just rose up and He's walking around. Gotta impress the Master.

na, its cos they're under 5 years old -or are in a close bond with an under 5 who needs no excuse to dress up and will encorporate anyone around to also dress up with them.

well i have 5 children and i like to dress up as the easter bunny every year!(ok so i make their dad do it...but its the same thing!) its because we all love chocolate! dead simple!!!
