Edgar Allen Poe. The way he wrights is so chilling and dark. Its almost like its everyday people who do the craziest things and are torment in the most disturbing ways. It could be anyone you know....... scary to me.

I have to go with Poe. He could make the simplest things seem creepy. I think that authors after him, tried to work up to his level. Few have succeeded but, I do also like Stephen King, and Dean Koontz for modern day authors.

obviously all are good. My personal fav is Dean Koontz. He rocks. John Saul is second and Stephen King is third for me. Also I like Mary Higgins Clark. The Author Lisa Jackson is good also.
