you still get to have a voice, give an opinion and be an equal.
i personally could share those types of responsiblities with a spouse or even be a stay at home dad maybe for a year when we get around to our second kid hypothetically.
most guys wont respect someone who has no opinion or has nothing to contribute without being asked. Even worse submissiveness shouldnt be something that you would pass on as an expectation of how women act for your children.
it can be fun to debate politics , sports, or anything. discuss literature, religion, education, world event.
its not that interesting if a person is too pushy or too submissive.

yes. it's possible to be to submissive. why would you want to be anyway? i don't believe in "places" in society or the home. i come from the thought that if it's full, empty it, if it's dirty, clean it and if it's crying, pick it up. that goes for both sexes. you know, most men don't like it when a woman is to submissive. sometimes they like it when we take charge of a situation no matter what it is. don't be wishy washy. stand up and be counted.

There are some women who absolutely do not get satisfaction by staying at home and doing all the chores etc etc. Raising kids is important of course and someone should stay home and do it for awhile.
People can get really miserable if they are not able to do something with their lives

You sound like a person who is willing to stand up for herself even if your beliefs are not the majority...if you also think you need improving in other areas...go for it. Practice personal strength without being unjust. This can come with experience and standing upright in the face of adversity.

My mother was a stay at home mom and I never once thought her submissive ecspecially when that wood spoon smacked across my hind side. Like you she picked her battles that in no way makes you submissive, just wise.

i think you should do whatever makes you happy, and/or whatever you think you need to be doing..... whatever you think is best. (or, in my father's words: "whatever you do, DON'T get a job you enjoy.... find a job you have a passion for.)
if you think it's what's right, then a stay-at-home mom is the thing for you. however, if you ever change your mind, don't forget that it's never too late to branch out and find a new niche....
...i hope i helped =)

That really doesn't define submission. Are you submmissive in the bed room? And do you like humiliation, even in front of others? That is what submissive is. Perhaps you should google the term.

No, you are not submissive for simply having those ideas. You have a good attitude; too bad there are hardly any women that share your virtues. Your ideas exemplify what women should aspire to. Women who want to be captains of industry or powerful leaders tend to be cold-hearted and lacking in a lot of ways.

As long as you have a brain and stick up for yourself on things that really do matter to you then you will be okay. Just don't fall into the "doormat trap".
