I know they are out of position but give me these five players and I guarantee no one would want to see me.
Three of the 5 were ball handlers and Bird wasnt shabby handling the rock either.
My backups

Quote from Red Auerbach (okay I don't remember the exact quote), "I have been blessed with coaching some of the greatest players ever to play the game, but if I were to start a team today, the greatest player and the one I would pick would be Larry Bird."

Quote from Larry Bird, "Magic's such a great basketball player, he's the best I've ever seen."

Another quote from Bird, this time on Jordan, "He is God in basketball shoes."

So there go my first three.

Then I go with Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Jerry West, John Havlicek, Walt Frazier, Bob Pettit, Tim Duncan and Oscar Robertson.
Starters would be:

F Duncan
F Bird
C Chamberlain
G Magic
G Robertson

Jordan would be the best sixth man ever!

i have done this alot of times and it just never gets boring.

c- Hakeem. the most versatile center of all time. shoot, defend, score anything.
PF- Time duncan. the most consistent player of all time. does everything every night.
SF- Kevin Garnett. play and defend all five positions like he originally played them all. how better can u get ?
SG- Oscar Roberson. the only player to average a triple double in a season. wow !
PG- John Stockton. i put him over magic only cuz i couldnt see another 20 pt scorer on this starting lineup !
6th - michael jordan
7th- gary payton
8th- t-mac
9th - nash
10 - wade
11- bill russel
12- nene, naw im just playin !
real 12- shawn marrion

now, i put jordan at 6th man cuz i didnt want to mess up the flow offensivly with my starter cuz jordan is a pass first player. i tried putting together a team i thought that would be unselfish, and a little like the suns offensivly. but just with a little better defense with payton, hakeem, Kg, and time duncan.

Steve Nash, best point Guard ever. (sg)Michael Jordan back in the day, (pf)Majic Johnson back in the day.(C) Shaq WAY BACK in the day. and finally Reggie miller at sf

there you got solid TEAM players unlike the usa team which all the really needed were real rules to win. But those guys are still a whole bnch of me's with some exeptions (chris paul etc.) Solid awsome unselfish team.
