Rather than find it for you I'll give you the basics. Egypt nationalized the Suez Canal taking operation and control away form the British. It was a peaceful takeover and they offered all expatriate officers and operators the same pay and conditions as they received under the British.

I soon became obvious to the Egyptians that Personnel on leave were not returning but they had no problems replacing them with their own people who were well qualified.

England cooked up a scheme with the Israeli's to invade Egypt, there by giving the UK justification to go back in and take possession of the Canal for Global Security.

Problem was the Brits didn't inform their Ally. So when Israel invaded, Eisenhower reacted by condemning Israel bringing the U.N in as the stabilizing force.. I learned this from an English publication but I'm sure you can easily find confirmation on line.
