FDR - had a good hand, played it well.
Stalin - likewise
Churchill - had a poor hand, played it well
Hitler - had a good hand, played it badly
Mussolini - had a poor hand, played it badly
Churchill and FDR both died natural deaths as well as Stalin y'know.

Joseph Stalin, bulilt Stalingrad, where there is running water in the houses, unlike most Soviet cities. However, when he told the "enforcers" he had, uneducated country bumpkins, to "eliminate the bourgeoise" he didn't explain what it meant and none of them had ever been to a school. (Bourgeoise is based on a French word, and they didn't know any other languages.) They ended up wiping out the peasantry instead of the bourgeois. There hasn't been anything to eat in the Soviet Union since the 30s. It would be hard to be a bourgeois in the Soviet Union under Communism, the top salary that only a few get could be $30,000/yr. and most employees in remote outposts make nothing. There is no salary for "jobs", the pay is the same whether you are in a forced labor camp or not. To tap the phones for the KGB pays 1 cent a day and the "falsification supervisor" makes $25/week to make up stories about you, falsify police reports, etc.. Soviet Army get $28/mo. There are 35 Russian millionaries, and some billionaires like the Pres. of the Ukraine. BLEAK! I suggest you not adopt this system of slavery and inequality!

If you can only choose Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin then I would choose Mussolini.
Due to Hitler's expansion ideas WWII began. Stalin had been killing his own people for years before WWII and even more after. Mussolini had grandiose ideas, but did not intentionally kill his people. He did send boy untrained to war.
FDR or Churchill would be the better choose for leaders of WWII. Even the King and Queen of England for their stand at staying in London during the war would be better.

No...him die normally doesn't make him a great leader.
He killed millions of his own people thru purges even during WW2 and sacrificed millions of soldiers and civilians during the war with Germany with his no retreat policy and making civilians stay in the beseiged cities. He lacked understanding of military strategy and if wasn't for his Generals like Zuhkov would of suffered defeat at the hands of the Germans.
The best leader in WW2 had to be Winston Churchill whose oratory speeches gave the English people hope and kept them united even during the darkest days when all looked lost and the spectre of a German invasion (Operation Sea Lion) loomed. Of course, it never happened, some speculate it was because Hitler consulted his astrologer, but Churchill went on to lead England throughout the war years and as I said his best known for his great speeches that inspired people.

I hope you're not saying he was a great leader because he was the only one to die normally, because it isn't true. FDR, Churchill, Mao and Chiang Kai-shek all died 'normally' as well. The best leader, I believe, was Churchill. At one point, Britain stood alone, but there was Churchill declaring defiance and leading his people through some terrible times. At the end, victory for the allies was in no small part due to to his courage and fortitude.

None, but I would pick William Churchill, (he was the Prime Minister at time, wasn't he not?) or Franklin Roosevelt. Also, post above me, I feel that Sadam Hussein Or Feidel Castro should come before Stalin and after Hitler...

No offense but i think you are crazy. The Soviet Union was one of the worst dictatorships in the world other than Germany. The best leader that you are forgetting in your list id Franklin Delano roosevelt. You should feel ashamed. there was no greater man than him. And to pick Stalin over him....that's an outrage. Roosevelt saved The U.S. from the Great Depression and WW2. So there..... F.D.R. was the best l;eader in WW2

What a strange question. None of these men was a human being in the sense that we call people humans. They murdered millions, caused suffering and disaster for millions more. To say they were the best leaders is either trying to provoke here an unworthy discussion or you need to go back to the text books.

Winston Churchill with out a doubt, he held the allies together when all seemed lost.
He also negotiated the "lend lease" deal with the US.
Churchill died of Old Age long after the war.
