I asked this question before, and i got some pretty good advice. but nothing seems

OK this is a tough question. But when you said that you are sad because nothing seems real to you, that made me sad cause I hate hearing other people say they're sad. But if you're asking questions on the internet, and have thoughts in your head, then there is no way that your life is a dream. Try not to think about it. I know that sounds so simple, but do other activities to try to keep your mind off of the thought. Read books,do yoga, ride a bike, run places. I hope Ive helped a little.

Sometimes when things are going so good for me I feel like I am not alive. Other times when things are at their worst I feel the same, like I am not alive. Their comes a point in life where you just have to find a happy medium. If that makes any sense to you. You have already taken the first step to helping yourself through this time in your life and that's by talking about it. If I were you I would start a journal. You maybe can see if you can find some kind of pattern or just so you can look back and reflect. If you keep a journal you can look back and see that you are real and that life is real. I hope this might have helped in some way, but you are not alone because their are people who feel like this all the time, but to scared to say something. Just be strong and I think this will pass.

My kid went through the same stage. He's also a very bright kid and will probably grow up to be a lawyer. (that wasn't a compliment, he's a pain sometimes) You mentioned René Descartes quote: "I think, therefore I am" He was a French philosopher who like you had the same thoughts! Neat to be having the same thoughts as a renowned French philosopher huh? Any way my suggestion is instead of just accepting that is dude, René Descartes, had the same problem you do, read his works! Especially where it has to do with his famous quote! It will be difficult reading but ask your parents to help you understand this stuff. Enjoy! This is going to take you a couple weeks! However, you will come out with allot more wisdom.

I think I felt this way too once upon a time. It didn't last long though. I know you said you can't see a therapist, but have you tried a church? They have therapists there for free. I noticed I go through deep thought when I'm taking a shower, trying to sleep or driving. Try by having all your "think" time, taken up by other things, when you're trying to sleep, watch TV instead. Taking a shower -- listen to your radio and sing to it and the same goes for driving. Pretty soon your feelings will be a distant memory. Good luck!

You sound like you have a serious problem and maybe medication is the answer. You may not want to see a therapist (I would recommend a psychiatrist), but if you can't get out of this thinking and it is beginning to affect you relationship with others, I think you better to contact someone while you still have a choice and can describe your symptoms. You might find that the solution is simple and works. Good luck!

WHOA. SOUNDS LIKE YOUR PARENTS did way too many drugs.
God created you.. to be alive well and share with others. it sounds like you are taking life for granted, especially if you live in the united states. The problem is that you are bored.
But imagine if you will... that you lived in downtown baghdad and your house was getting bombed every other day...would that make your life for real.
stop being a pain in the butt. and appreciate the life that god has given you. go out and be a joy unto others.
