Always be yourself. It may be hard, at times, with magazines, and television and peers emphasizing that its not okay to be who you are; that you need to be this way or that. The thing is...it is okay to be who you are. Hold on to your beliefs, your values and mores and never let anyone or anything take them away. Another thing is always let those people whom you care about the most, know exactly how much they mean to you. The heart of the matter are the matters of the heart.

My tidbit of wisdom is that no matter how crappy your life was as a child; no matter how badly others have crapped on you in your life; and no matter how much life has been unfair....You can change your outlook and be grateful for what you have and change your circumstances. It takes work. It takes commitment. It takes patience; but it is possible to win with a bad hand. If you just get over yourself and look around; someone else always had it harder; rougher; and worse. We need to start being grateful for what we have as a nation; before we lose it all and Really find out what it is to have it bad. That is my take. Thanks for asking. Nana

I believe that money is a lousy way of keeping score... I believe that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.... I believe that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.......I believe that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you once in a while and, you must forgive them for that..... I believe that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.......I believe that credentials on a wall doesn't make you a decent human being...... I believe that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. it may be the last time you see them.....

There are two bits of wisdom that stick to me from my folks. The first is to remember that not everyone will agree with you, even though they claim and appear that they do.
The second: Never say a cruel word of hurt to a person you love and respect. Keep it to yourself, no matter how angry you are. Talk calmly later about what you disagree with but never use hateful or hurtful words. Sometimes you may just agree to disagree.

I was always taught that it is better to keep your mouth shut & let people think that you are dumb rather than open your mouth and prove it.
