He waits for the President to die and breaks any ties that happen in the Senate.
He also fills in for the President at funerals. The President has more important things to do so that's the Veep's job.
The Current VP is however much more. He helps formulate policy. No one can say no matter where you stand that Dick Cheney is a nobody in this administration.
George Bush made a great choice in my opinion. Cheney --unlike that twit that Kerry chose -- was and is ready to be a great and strong president should anything happen to Bush.
I would like to see Rudy pick Condi Rice for that same reason. I feel should Rudy die, Rice would be a strong President.

Put Little Boy Bush to sit back and play with his GI Joe's while Vice President Cheney ruins America and kills more innocent people. Vice President needs to be picked up and thrown as far in Iraq as he can go and grab that boy with his GI Joe's and land right in the center yelling , "We're winning the war, We shall prevail, We will concur, Bring em on, please CNN show the Breaking News all the way through the process. Put it on live TV., so I can watch it everyday and night over and over and over again

The V.P is basically...the guy who goes to all the parties that the president can't go to, cause he has "stuff" to do, so it won't seem rude. Like the V.P visits some banana republic as a "representative" of the president. Just means, the president's at a BBQ somewhere.

The vice president we have now runs our country.
They're supposed to do the bidding of the president and to step in if anything happens to the president.
Usually....they're just figureheads.

Goes on Rush Limbaugh, except for that I haven't seen him do jack.
He did a lot of speaking before the war, but now...not a peep.
