Their are not people starving and dying in this country? We are perfect, and we shouldn't expect it of anyone like we do Iraq.

"Survived"? Hardly. They were starving, and killing eachother. Democracy will always work as long as there is no corruption. Of course it will work, would you rather it that everybody was ruled by a single persons whims? Look at ancient Rome! They were the mightiest force in the world, during which they practically invented the first democracy. When is it they fell apart? It is when the government became corrupted. Yes democracy will work. Yes it is the best solution. However, corruption can take over, and when democracy dies in the U.S than god help us.
