1) Excellent grades...top of your class. The academies are probably the hardest colleges to get into in the US. Last I heard it was about 10-15% acceptance rate.
2) Athletics are a pretty big must. Being a military school, you are required to be a certain weight and be able to perform certain physical tasks.
3) You will need lots of extracurricular activities. A student who excels at grades alone won't do it.
4) You will be required to get a congressional nomination from either one of your two senators or your congressman.
