Because this is a commercial, not a Quentin Tarantino movie. They are trying to make money by selling a product, which will NOT happen without a certain level of deception.

This reminds me of a joke. A guy is walking through the Hasidic section of Brooklyn and all the signs are in Hebrew. He wants to get his watch fixed. He walks past the store that has chickens hanging upside down in the window and thinks "that must be the butchers" so he keeps walking and finds the store that has shoes and boots hanging in the window and thinks "that must be the cobblers" so he keeps walking and finds the store that has clocks in the window and thinks "this must be the watch repair store." So he walks in and asks the guy to take a look at his watch. "Sorry," the guy says, "I'm a moel." "What's that?" our hero asks. The guy says "I circumcise baby boys as a profession." "Then why do you have a bunch of clocks in your window?" our hero asks. The guy looks at him and asks "and what would YOU suggest I put there?"

Those ads are directed primarily at the female fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers. As ex - manager Tommy Lasorda has often said, "We Dodger fans bleed Dodger blue".

I did think of that myself.... why blue dye?? haha
Simply, because people would be repulsed if those adverts had red dye instead of blue....
They would only get banned or complaints from everyone (not just the men).

Not really... I used to but I realized that it's not that bad or anything... It's not like it's directed towards you or something... Everyone see's some kind of commercial like that and it's never meant for a specific person, so it doesn't really matter. But of course, if I am with my guy friends or something and we are watching tv and that comes on, then I get a little embarrassed... It just sorta feels like they are staring at me... But otherwise, no, it doesn't really matter :)

blue is symbolising liquid. Red wouldn't be pleasing to a viewer, they'd jus c blood on the advert and it would more or less disgust them, making it less likely for the consumer to buy the product.

shows up better on camera. On some TV's, red looks terrible. And it looks better than yellow or green...or...brown. LOL!
