Check under "Consignment" in your Yellow pages. Unless you are in a very rural area you should find listings for shops that specialize in selling clothing on consignment. Call to compare their terms and requirements. Some specialize in selling gently used baby and children's clothing and other children's items, some specialize in junior sizes or designer labels, etc., others sell a variety of items. Most charge from 40 to 60 percent of the amount they sell the article for. Most are picky about the items they accept as they don't want to waste space and time on items they think won't move. They don't buy your items outright, so you have to wait to get paid until the items are sold. Usually they are marked down after a certain length of time if they have not sold. If your time is limited it's much easier then having a garage sale. Good luck!

thrift shops. I don't know what area you're in, or I could tell you a specific place. for boston area ...
-if you have lots and lots of kind of ugly, worn clothes, the Garment District is the place to go! You won't get that much money, but who else is going to accept that crap? and if you're buying, it's like $1 for every pound of clothes! and sometimes there is AWESOME stuff there!
-if you've got nicer stuff, try places like karma or second time around, on newbury street. they're more upscale.
haha if you're not in the boston area that's not helpful at all, but maybe you're close lolll.

If you are saying you want to sell used clothing, you can have a tag sale or sell them at a church rummage sale. Organizations like The Salvation Army will not pay you for a donation.

If they are in fairly good condition, and are a well known "teen" name brand, like AE, Ambercrombie, Aeropostale, ect. my recommendation is a placed called Plato's Closet. They are kinda picky about what they take, but will pay you for it if its in ok condition and a brand they carry.

You would need to sell them at a consignment store, or through something like eBay.
