No! storing music in your computer does not make your computer slower. But let me give you a couple of small tips to make your computer run faster. first of all run disk clean up (defrag) your computer. second. Turn off all your start up programs you don't need running all the time . Do this by going to Start, Run,(type in ) msconfig.....a window will pop up...choose the selective startup button.then go to start up tab and uncheck almost everything except your anti virus, time, and keypad if its a laptop......this will speed up your computer and all that other stuff you turned off you can use them onl when you need them

Partitioning divides the equipment section and person storage section into 2 factors. equipment section (in many cases C:) is dynamically as much as date, and for this reason the educational could be much less and ideally defragmented. while if person section isn't accessed, then the OS won't care if 1MB information is there or 1GB. once you attempt to get entry to, then it would desire to get slwer for the reason that seraching out of GBs, it would desire to take it slow. DeFragmentation facilitates lots in getting better the overall performance of the equipment. Now working a number of courses at as quickly as will slower the comp. once you run any utility, its header training is stored interior the RAM. lower back if a number of purposes are working, it fairly is going to be difficult to discover the mandatory utility. for this reason slowering it down. additionally, CPU usuage will improve and CPU would be divied between many purposes, to that end lowering the cost final touch. stored in cache potential that training of the document on the no longer common disk force is avilable for fast reference. for this reason if a music presently performed is interior the cache, having access to the comparable music will take lesser time. Cache reminiscence is sensible for working purposes that run very oftenly. If procesor needs a document, it first exams interior the cache and then no longer common force. Cache reminiscence is in many cases in KBs and in few MBs there days. for this reason, in basic terms small data of application is stored in cache for swifter reference. Actualy application will stay in no longer common force in basic terms.

as long as ur harddrive isnt too full and its defragmented u shouldnt notice a performance hit ... any hardrive with an operating system on it thats more than about 1/2 full will start to slow anyway and really get degraded after 2/3rds full ...

after you add alot of music, defrag it so it puts all the files where they should be, but it wont take up any ram or anything like that so it wouldnt affect performance very much
