15 sailors be allowed to sell their stories to the media...?

No ,they should be able to tell there story but not make money out of it .
It's an insult to all the soldiers who have lost there lives. Do there family's get to make money out of there loss no alot cant even claim compensation for there loss !!
The MOD have played this whole thing totally wrong :)

And I was under the impression that while still serving they weren't allowed to.
As a civil servant, closely working with the military, I know for a fact I'm not allowed to profit from anything that happens during my working life, it's part of my contract, and I was sure the military had the same clause.
That's why people like Andy McNab had to leave the army before publishing their books.
EDIT: Those saying yes obviously have no idea how strict the UK Government are on having things like this in contracts for the forces.

They should be able to tell their story in whatever forum they are comfortable with. Some people didn't even believe it happened like stupid Rosie O'Donnell. I think she owes them an apology and they should be able to tell the true story without it being edited to make it politically correct.

yes i think so as long as they are truthful but also make sure it doesnt cause any more backs being raise and resot to more fighting i think it should be up to the indervial without the press badgering them
