all was fine. i stopped thenwent one more block stopped let off the brake hit the gas and nothing!no forward no reverse NOTHING! there had been no noise/vibration/chugging absolutely notthing! WHAT could be wrong?

1. Check the fluid level & condition. Should appear red not a burnt orange color
2. Smell the fluid. If you can't tell by smell, then put a little on your tongue & if it tastes burnt, then there are internal issues.
3. If the fluid check OK, remove the pan & check for contaminates.
PS
I have encountered the same situation with a TH400 transmission. I removed the pan to find the filter had dislodged, therefore the transmission was not receiving adequate oil supply.
