i'm kinda torn between yes and no. I hate the whole concept of the song, but sadly the execution was very good, and i am addicted to it even though it is totally shallow, and her other songs are better because they acually mean something! i think-correction-i hope she was making fun of people who act like that! I completely hate the video though. I am not an airhead who thinks the definition of good music is a song about a preppy girl getting her guy! >:(
it has nothing to do with the CLOTHES for gods sakes people! people think the clothes define the person inside them! Avril could wear pink stuff, and that wouldn't have to mean she is a girly girl! i am not a girly girl OR a complete emo punk girl, i wear a lot of pink,, and i like getting dressed up sometimes but i don't consider it a really big deal as if it is crucial or anything and i sometimes wear all black!

To me, Avril falls in a group of people who have no real musical talent, but insist on playing anyway. Calling her a musical artist is giving her way too much credit. She hasnt pushed any sort of musical barrier, her song writing is simple and uncomplex, and there is no real reason to remember her in a few years. So no, having one catchy riff isnt enough to make a good song for me.

That's gonna be her "I Believe I Can Fly". After that she will probably revert to being her old rebellious self. That song is perfect, and she's all dollied up....the execs know how to make money.

Not really. personally I think she sold out. I really never liked her to begin with...she's all like "I'm SO punk" and you see her in these short-shorts and fish-nets with blond and pink hair dancing in a bathroom. yeah. that's REAL punk.
