According to The Warren Report he was shot from the 6th floor of the Texas Book Depository. A downward shot of about maybe 50 or so yards. LOTS of theories that day.

I've stood on the grassy knoll, and the assassin could've beaned him with a baseball from there--60-70 feet at most.
