Israel will also be subject to a "Winter" climate, however because of the proximity of the Sahara desert and a more southerly latitude, it will be slightly warmer. I doubt you would see snow and ice. During the Winter months in the Northern hemisphere, the tilt of the Earth's axis at 23 degrees means that it is tilted away from the Sun, hence the colder climates. It would also mean that the Southern hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun, allowing it to be bathed in sunlight and thus it is Summer in the Southern while it is Winter in the Northern.

If it is winter in the US, then it is winter in Israel because Israel is located in the Northern Hemisphere, If you live in South Africa for instance or any country south of the equator it is summer.

Also winter. The seasons are always the same in the northern hemisphere. The only place that has opposite seasons is the southern hemisphere (aka Australia).

Some regions may be lacking seasons like the equator.

The US is above the equator and so is Israel. Therefore whatever season we have they also have. (Like your question, if it is winter here, then it is winter there)
