Give a shy smile and say thank you, then compliment something like 'i like ur hair color' then ask question, ;where did u do ur hair?...etc..' just to divert the attention. never say 'no.. i'm not' cause they'll go on and on.

Just say "thank you" and smile. It's the best way to do it, I think. It's not saying "OH I KNOW!" or making them feel awkward by saying "Oh well...no..." etc. Just accept the compliment graciously.

I have the same problem, and it really embarasses me. I always just say a shy little thank you, but I never know what else to say.

I say thank you and then I change the subject since I don't feel comfortable when people tell me that and keep going on about it. When they keep going on about it, I just keep saying thanks and smiling like a fool.

A simple "thank you" will most likely work.
If you feel the need to say more, then just say what comes to mind, such as "Wow, really? You look great too you know!" or "Thanks, you are such a nice person." Just dont say anything like "I know" or "I hear that a lot, but thanks anyway"
They will think you're a total brat!

just be polite, take the comment well. Thank you, you have nice eyes yourself or something along those lines. or complement something they are wearing or theyre smile. people usually like to recieve compliments in return.
