It is an emerald green floor-length halter dress, and I am a redhead. I don't want to wear big heels, as it is a long night and I don't want to have to take off my shoes. Also, my boyfriend is my height, so I don't want to be taller than he is. Can anyone suggest any cute kinds or colors of shoes that I could wear?

Thanks!

I would definitely not put a black shoe with your green prom dress, it won't look right, black shoes are too economical looking. If you are trying to be economical and want a pair of shoes that you will wear again. Go metallic (not glitter), silver is the metallic of the moment but I think copper would really complement your earthy colour scheme. Please I beg you don't wear lucite they may be in at the moment but unless your buying the couture brand and you still have to tell everyone who made them because they are just down right tacky and cheap looking. Because you've chosen a long dress do not go closed toe, it is far too heavy a look. If you don't wear some sort of a lift you will regret it when you get your photos back. women wear heels for a reason and not just for height. They give your bust and butt a lift and bring in your tummy, arch your back and give a swivel to your hips when you walk. This is especially necessary in a long dress where gorgeous legs are under wraps and flats can make you look hippy. Who cares if you end up taller than your boyfriend, you're not his fashion accessory, and why not throw off your shoes at the end of the night. Everyone else does. Just make sure you've had a pedicure.

Cute dress! I don't know where to get shoes, but deff go for silver shoes (or with that shade of pink gold would go too) I think heels go better with short dresses though. . .

There are some really cute clear/lucite shoes, you can get a strappy sandal -- gold, silver, even a copper color. JC Penny's has dessy shoe side that is inexpensive and cute.

IS THE DRESS PLAIN OR IT HAS SOME WORK ON IT. IF SO, WHAT COLOUR IS IT? WHAT ABOUT JEWELRY ? ANY FLOWERS IN YOUR HAIR ? WILL YOU EVER WEAR THE SHOES AGAIN ? ARE YOU CARRYING A EVENING BAG ? TAKE THESE THINGS INTO CONSIDERATION AND YOU WILL COME UP WITH THE RIGHT COLOURED AND TYPE OF SHOES. GOOD LUCK AND NON STOP DANCING.
