My parents are mixed and believe me that both Blacks and Whites have this problem in an even amount. The ones that are most racist can act like or worst than a cult. What I think the problem becomes more is when Black and White people try to act like they want to be the opposite; example: Black people that what to be White and treat their own race bad and White people that want to be Black and do the same. It is sad that people don't respect others and are not happy to be themselves in general.

Double standard? Sure, but its reasonable. Its based on power. Just like sexual harrassment at work needs to have a disparity of position or power so it is with race relations. There is not a three hundred year history in America of blacks owning whites, of blacks preventing whites from marrying as they please, worshipping as they please or going to school. The use of the term "Boy" for a black male carries with it the history and gravity of that oppression. The term white boy has no such history

there are so many double standards in our society and yes the media does perpetuate those double standards and stereotypes. It sucks, but remember that most people don't agree with it.
