I think it's only shameful if you bought them ripped. Buying ripped jeans is such a rip off.......it's like buying a sock with a hole in it. If your jeans just wore out and just got holes in them because they're old, then it's not shameful.

Well, the style has kinda phased out, along with the shotgun pattern. I wear them, but that's only because cash is a little short just now, and they ARE still wearable.
I mean, if you had leprosy, or whatever Michael Jackson has, or hair like a boar - then no. But then again, you probably shouldn't go out in public. Now, if like your name, you are in fact a big fat hippo, it wouldn't depend on how your skin looked - like if you had that chewed bubble gum type of thing going on - but it still wouldn't be shameful, it would just be distgusting.
I hope that this hasn't hurt or insulted you, and you asked for the truth.

Yes, if you are going to or are around peopel older than you or are going someplace formal. But if you are just going out to the mall or someplace where there are a lot of people and it's not formal then no it's not. Like me i wear ripped jeans all the time. Except on holidays like today and formal times.

Depends on where the rips are location and the condition of the jeans, but I like ripped jeans because they are cute they are comfortable and laid back looking.

When I was a kid, that was the height of shame! Now it's considered cool. They even sell them ripped! And some of them are expensive too!

If you look good in something then I say have at it. Last weekend I worked a 4 hour shift and when I got home I realized my rear end of my jeans were split completely out. From waist band to under my bum so who am I to judge?

Don't listen to them. Nothing wrong with ripped jeans unless, maybe, if it's in the crotch. That's just a little tacky.

I don't let my children wear ripped jeans out in public, I think it makes them look like street children. If your an adult I don't see how it matters
