it'll take the glue off, but the paint will stay. just use a dab to see if harms the paint before going all out to get the glue off. if the paint appears to be damaged by using the alchohol, try using some nail polish remover with acetone. it will also dissolve the glue.

i own a shop and rubbing alcohol wont hurt it if you only use a small amount,it has water in it alcohol does so it really wont harm the paint,but id try it on an area that cant be seen first though just to make sure it wont hurt it certain paints it might hurt it,good luck hope this helps.

I doubt if that will hurt it, since you are only leaving it on there for just a second or two. It will cut through all the wax, and oils on the surface of the paint. Good luck

Try it in a hidden spot 1st like under the hood or trunk lid. If it doesn't harm the paint there (it shouldn't) you should be OK using it on the doors paint as it is the same paint!
