Well I suppose I can't answer as I'm a meat eater. But if your talking about abuse of animals by cruel treatment then I just think there are horrible people about who have no respect for life.

Because they are cowards! Only a coward would back down from a conflict with another human and then go home and hurt their family or their animals so hideously!
P.S. If I catch, personally, anyone treating an animal so badly all I can say is, I hope they have given their soul to Jesus cause their **** is about to be mine!
We have several animals in our home and believe me they are spoiled! One is a pound puppy that was starved when we got her the other puppy was abused physically and emotionally and was almost starved to death when she was brought to us.....and I still want to throttle the skank that hurt her!!!
If a human isn't going to do right by the animal they shouldn't take it on!
In other words, you are responsible for your animal, why in the world would you hurt it?

Some people treat animals badly because animals can't talk & so they can only show the pain they are in by making their natural animal sound and so the people do not feel guilty that they are leaving the animal in pain as the animal sound is just not enough for them to feel sympathy. Its sad, I know....Oh yeah..and animals are defensless. They only have their teeth & claws.

Well they could have experienced trauma with animals, perhaps it could be some kind of defense for them not to experience such trauma again.

Coz like mary - who answered first and couldn`t wait to shock us all with her nasty answer - they are selfish, unfeeling, bullying, and downright disrespectful, uneducated people who really have no place on this planet with normal human beings - or with the gentle animals who would never harm anyone if people would just leave them alone .

It's horrible. But I know some of it stems from the person not/never being loved. And they can't deal with animals being loved more than them. Can not appreciate that animals are just so adorable and lovable............while they are not. In short, we made them that way.

some people fail to recognise animals as living things just like us, and could do with being the subject of their own treatment in an effort to show them the error of their ways.
and some people are just plain sick..

Laws are soft on people who abuse animals. Some people enjoy abusing other beings to make themselves feel good.

Because they don´t love people either. So, they take it with the animals who cannot defend themselves.
