To keep all 9 angels to adult size will require something on the order of a 90-120 gallon tank. Personally I would recommend a 90, then thin the angels to maybe 6 as they get a bit larger and give yourself room for a bottom fish or two.

Just going by the 1 inch per gallon rule a 55 gallon would be the minimum size. However, angelfish can be territorial and aggressive towards its own species. In these cases you need at a minimum double the tank size so they can all set up their own territories. You can get by with a smaller tank while they are small but they will get bigger and start to fight as they need more space.

If you have 9 angelfish then you are going to need the largest tank that you can afford. I would say a 75 gallon aquarium, however I don't believe that it would be large enough for 9 of them to live and grow comfortably. Angelfish grow to a large size and they need a lot of room to grow and swim.

You need to consider that the percentage is one fish per gallon and I think that fish size is a inch to an inch and a half. The angle's I have kept got to be pretty good size. To be on the safe side, before I purchased one, I would check Pet Smart to see what they think. I would think anywhere to a 40 to a 55 gallon would work. Good Luck

2 fish per ten gallons is a good estimate...Though while your Angels are small now, they will grow...so think about that as well...Those are fairly territorial fish. They will want their own space.

big!... angelfish at adult size are 6 inches... so 1 inch of fish per gallon... so, 9x6=54...

so at least 54 gallons, but that is very crowded...good to have extra room for the fish... :^D
